Hi and welcome to the first official post of The Starr Edit.
To be honest my school outfit game has been lacking. I'm just tired in the morning and do I really want to get dressed up to sit down for a two-hour lecture, no. But as I step out of that period in my life, why don't I take you along with me? I'm totally not pretending that I am Carrie Bradshaw as I'm writing this, speaking of Carrie I should so do a face mask.

The Deets
Happy last week before finals ! So ready to be done, I desperately need to be tanning and drinking lemonade on a Monday morning. Today it was around 40 degrees when I left for class and around 80 degrees leaving my last class. So linen was the way to go! My shoes are Adidas green Sambas (these will be a recurring element). Funny story about my pants, the day I was leaving for my flight to London. I was setting out my airport outfit and tell me why my linen pants had a massive hole in them. So being me of course I freaked out since I have a phobia of wearing shorts on the plane and I had no idea what else to wear. A quick trip to the Gap fixed that truly I had never been more excited to buy a pair of pants in my life. My go to tank top is Brandy Melville, I'm currently obsessed with navy blue if you couldn't tell. From that same last minute trip to Gap, I picked this striped button down. Truly so versatile it looks good with jeans, shorts, skirts, and as a bikin cover up! Lastly my staple Longchamp school bag in navy blue!

The trials and tribulations of trying to style a denim skirt in a non mormon way, it should be studied. But a basic outfit for a boring study day! The star of the show are the Gazelle Bolds i think my favorite pair of shoes that I own. The skirt is Old Navy but I found it at the thrift, I do wish that it was a bit longer. But maybe I'll find another one this summer. My top I found in the clearance at Target, back when I got my first job and I didn't own a single plain black shirt. The cut and size of the top balance well with the skirt!

For some reason I was in the mood to wear a dress, this particular dress gives off Barbie vibes which I love. It's from Krazy Bins aka - the Target overstock store. Personally I'd rather go to the thrift store but sometimes theres hidden gems there. To continue with the Barbie aesthetic I paired it with my Missoma Ridge Heart Necklace worn by Margot Robbie in the Barbie Movie. And topped it off with Ms. Swifts Folklore cardigan. I also wore a pair of gold and brown sandals from Reef (not pictured).
And my school week ends on Thursday since its basically the new Friday!
Til next week.
xo Kayla
